Klimaprotest am 5. April: Zukunft für Alle – Alle für die Zukunft!

Inspiriert von der Aktivistin Greta Thunberg nehmen junge Menschen ihre Zukunft selbst in die Hand und organisieren am 15. März international und auch in Wien Schulstreiks. Am 5. April wollen wir mit allen Solidarischen an Schulen, Unis und Arbeitsplätzen streiken und für radikale und schnelle Maßnahmen gegen die Klimakrise auf die Straße gehen! Zukunft für Alle – Alle für die Zukunft!

Die Klimaerhitzung ist die größte Bedrohung im 21. Jahrhundert. Extreme Trockenheit, Überschwemmungen und eine steigende Zahl von Hitzetoten sind die bereits spürbaren Folgen. Der Weltklimarat drängt darauf, die Erwärmung auf maximal 1,5 Grad zu beschränken. Bis 2050 müssen wir die weltweiten CO2-Emissionen auf Null reduzieren.

Die UN-Klimakonferenz hat erneut gezeigt: die Regierungen sind dazu weder imstande noch gewillt. In Österreich leugnet die FPÖ wiederholt Fakten zum Klimawandel. Die schwarz-blaue Regierung greift Umweltschutzgesetze an, treibt die Emissionen mit Tempo-140 Strecken in die Höhe und macht sich für die dritte Piste am Wiener Flughafen und die Lobau-Autobahn stark.

Beteilige dich an den Klima-Streiks und komm zum gemeinsamen Protest am Freitag, 5. April 2019 um 17:00 Uhr am Christian-Broda-Platz/Westbahnhof, Wien. Abschlusskundgebung am Heldenplatz.

Inspired by the climate activist Greta Thunberg, young people are taking their future into their own hands and are organizing international school-strikes for March 15^th, in Vienna students are there will be strikes as well. On April 5^th, it’s about ALL of us! Together we want to strike at schools, universities and workplaces and go onto the streets to fight for immediate and radical climate actions! Future for all – all for the future!

The Climate Crisis is the biggest threat of the 21^st century. Extreme droughts, floods and a rising number of people dying from heat are some of the already noticeable consequences. The IPCC pushes to limit global warming to 1,5°C, which means that we must reduce our carbon emissions to zero until 2050.

The UN climate summit showed again: the governments are neither capable, nor willing to do so. In Austria, the FPÖ is repeatably denying facts about climate change. The ÖVP-FPÖ-government attacks environmental protections, increases the carbon emissions by raising the speed-limit on highways to 140 km/h and argues strongly for the construction of the third runway at the Vienna airport and the Lobau-tunnel.

Join the climate strikes and come to the collective protest on Friday, April 5^th at 5.00 pm at Christian-Broda-Platz/Westbahnhof, Vienna. A concluding rally will take place at Heldenplatz.
